ScopeBiomass is a crucial component of the new energy mix. In France, 60% of the energy generated from renewable resources is currently from biomass. Tenerrdis brings together organizations from across the entire biomass value chain, with a focus on:
Technology ResearchGAYA is a GDF Suez-run project to develop an industrial-scale process for producing biomethane—one of the renewable energy sources presenting the highest potential for growth—via biomass gasification. The project entails building and operating for a period of seven years a preindustrial demonstrator covering the entire process. This Tenerrdis-certified project is backed by a partnership involving biomass research centers, technology centers, and operators.
Key FiguresThe Tenerrdis biomass program involves around 30 companies representing the entire biomass value chain as well as around a dozen research centers.
Since 2005 Tenerrdis has certified 54 R&D projects and demonstrators in the field of biomass, 18 of which have received government funding for a total of €30 million. 50 partners are involved in these projects.
